Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bombay Rava/Suji
  • 2 sp chopped Green Chillies
  • 2 sp chopped Ginger
  • 21/2 cups Water
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 tsp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 5 sp Oil
  • 1 sp Ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add chopped ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and fry for a while, then add water and salt.
  2. Once the water starts boiling pour semolina and mix well. Cook it on low flame with cover, until all the water absorbs, then add 1 sp ghee and mix well.
  3. Turn of the heat and let it leave for a couple of mins with cover. After that transfer into a serving bowl, now upma is ready, serve with chutney or chutney powder.
