Chutney Powder Recipe / Chutney Podi / Chutney Pudi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chana Dal
  • 1 cup Urad Dal
  • 2 sp Coriander Seeds
  • 5 sp dry grated Coconut
  • 10 Red Chillies
  • 2 inches Tamarind flake
  • 1/2 sp Sugar
  • 2 sp Oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 sp oil in a frying pan add chana dal, urad dal, coriander seeds and stir-fry them on low flame until it turns golden brown in color, then transfer on to a plate & allow it to cool.
  2. Add 1 sp oil in the same pan and add red chillies and fry, once done remove from the pan and keep aside.
  3. Once cool add salt, sugar, tamarind, grated coconut to them and grind into a fine powder.
  4. Now chutney powder/curry powder is ready, its very tasty powder for all tiffin items and curries.
