Thotakura Senaga Pappu Kobbari Kura / Amaranth Leaves Chana Dal Fry
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped Thotakura Leaves
- 2 tbsp Chana Dal / Senaga Pappu
- 2 sp grated Fresh Coconut
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to Taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash soak chana dal for 15 to 20 mins and keep aside. Clean, wash and chop amaranth leaves into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a khadai add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, soaked chana dal, chopped thotakura and mix it well.
- Add turmeric powder, sprinkle few water and stir, cover with a lid and let it cook, if needed sprinkle little water and stir, cook on medium flame until done, stirring occasionally.
- When done add salt & stir, then add coconut, red chilli powder and mix it well, let it cook for couple of mins without lid.
- Now thotakura chana dal stir fry is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice or roti.
