
Ingredients
- 1 cup White Sesame Seeds/ Nuvvulu/Til
- 3/4 cup Jaggery
- 1/2 sp Elaichi Powder(optional)
- 2 sp Ghee
Instructions
Heat a kadai add sesame seeds and dry roast for a couple of mins on medium flame until light brown in color, then turn off the flame and allow it cool down.

Keep 2 sp roasted sesame seeds aside, blend the remaining sesame into powder and keep aside.

Add jaggery in a kadai with 1/2 cup of water and bring it to a boil, the jaggery dissolves completely then strain it. Again boil the jaggery water till it forms a thick consistency. In the meantime, grease a plate with ghee and keep it aside.

First add sesame seeds and mix well, then add ground sesame powder, stir well and continue to cook.

Add 1 sp ghee and cook on low-medium flame, keep stirring till the mixture turns thick and leaves the sides of the pan.

Remove from the heat and pour to a plate, spread it evenly and allow it to cool down for a little. Then cut them into pieces. Now winter special and Sankranthi festival recipe til burfi/sesame burfi is ready.
