Ingredients
- 1 heaped glass Raw Rice
- 2 sp full Urad Dal
- 1 cup Jaggery
- 1/4 cup Fresh Grated Coconut
- 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
- Oil for deep fry
Instructions
Take a glass and filled heaped level with uncooked rice, then fill remaining level with urad dal.
Then wash well and soak rice and urad dal for 2 hours
After that, transfer to a mixe jar and grind into a thick soft batter without adding much water. Then add coconut, jaggery and blend it again into smooth paste like thick dosa batter. Transfer it to a bowl, add elaichi powder and mix very well.
Heat oil in a pan for deep fry, once hot reduce the flame and pour out of small quantities of the batter into the hot oil with a ladle.
Fry well on both sides over low to medium flame. Then remove from the hot oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Repeat the same with the remaining batter. Now simple and an easy Diwali sweet Kandarappam is ready.
