Kova Coconut Sweet Puri / Mawa Kobbari Sweet Puri - Diwali Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Wheat Flour
- 5 sp Powdered Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 sp Ghee
- Oil for deep fry
- 1/4 cup Sweet Khoya
- 1/4 cup grated Fresh Coconut
- 1/4 sp Elaichi Powder

Instructions
- In a bowl place the wheat flour with melted ghee, salt and mix well, add enough water and knead well to make a soft dough and keep aside for 15 mins.
- Combine coconut, sweet kova, elaichi powder in a small bowl and mix well, meanwhile, grind sugar along with 1 elaichi into a smooth powder.
- Knead the dough well and make it into small lime size balls and set aside, take a dough ball and roll it into a small puri, then place khoya mixture over it and seal the edges carefully.
- Roll the stuffed ball into a medium sized puri, do the same with the remaining dough balls and deep fry them in hot oil until light golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel and sprinkle powdered sugar over them, now khoya coconut sweet puris are ready to serve.
