Whole Green Moong Beans Kadhi Recipe / Pesalu Majjiga Pulusu - Kadhi Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Soaked Whole Moong Dal /Sabut Mung Beans/Pesalu
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 Tomato finely chopped
- 2 Green Chillies slit lengthwise
- 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 sp Coriander Powder
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 sp Gram Flour/Besan
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli
- 1 pinch Hing
- Coriander Leaves
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Place buttermilk in a bowl add salt, besan and keep aside. Wash soaked green moong dal and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves , chopped green chillies, onion and cook until tender then add ginger garlic paste and fry for 30 secs.
- Now add chopped tomato and cook for 2 mins on medium flame, then add cooked whole moong dal, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix.
- Mix every thing well with onion tomato mixture, lastly add buttermilk, chopped coriander leaves and boil for 5 mins on medium flame, then turn off the flame and transfer the prepared stew into a serving bowl.
- Now whole moong dal buttermilk stew is ready to serve, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
