Dhaniya Rice / Coriander Seeds Rice / Dhaniya Podi Rice

  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 sp Ghee
  • 2 sp Oil
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 1 pinch Hing
  • For Powder :
  • 2 sp Coriander Seeds/Dhaniyalu
  • 1 sp Chana Dal
  • 1 sp Urad Dal
  • 4 Red Chillies
  • 1/2 sp Oil


  1. Heat 1/2 sp oil in a pan add powder ingredients and stir-fry them till golden brown then remove from the pan and allow it to cool, once cooled grind them into a coarse powder and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee + oil in a khadai add red chilli, curry leaves and fry for 10 secs then add ground powder, hing and fry for 1 min on low flame.
  3. Finally add the cooked rice, salt to it and combine well, now add chopped coriander leaves and mix it well, turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl.
  4. Now dhaniya podi rice/coriander seeds rice is ready to serve, serve hot with fresh curd.
