Adai Recipe – how to make Adai – South Indian Breakfast Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 1/4 cup Chana Dal
- 1/4 cup Urad Dal
- 1/4 cup Toor Dal
- 4 Red Chillies
- 1 pinch Hing/Inguva
- Salt to taste
- Oil for dosa
Instructions
- Wash and mix rice, dals together and soak in water for 3 hours, once done grind them into a coarse paste by adding enough water.
- Add hing, salt into it and mix well, now adai batter is ready, the batter should not need to be fermented.
- Heat a griddle with oil, when hot pour a ladle of batter over the griddle and spread it carefully with back of the ladle.
- Now apply 1 sp oil around the edges of the dosa and cook with a lid, once it's done, turn it to the other side, apply little oil and cook on low flame for 1 min.
- Repeat the same with remaining batter, now South Indian breakfast recipe adai is ready, serve hot with coconut chutney & allam chutney.
