Bottle Gourd Dosa Recipe/Sorakaya Dosa/Anapakaya Dosa - Dosa recipes
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped Bottle Gourd/Sorakaya Mukkalu
- 1 cup Raw Rice
- 1 sp Methi Seeds
- 2 sp chopped Ginger
- 4 Green Chillies
- 1/2 sp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- Oil for Dosa
Instructions
- Wash and soak rice, methi seeds for 2 hours and keep aside, wash peel bottle gourd and chop into small pieces with flesh. After that grind the soaked and drained rice into a smooth batter by adding enough water, once done transfer into a mixing bowl. Grind bottle gourd pieces into smooth batter along with ginger and green chillies, then add it to rice batter.
- Add in salt, sugar and mix well together.If required add little water, now the bottle gourd dosa batter is ready, no fermentation, just grind and use it. Heat a tawa and grease it with little oil, when hot pour a ladle full of batter to the centre and spread with back of the ladle. Now apply 1 sp oil around the edges of the dosa, once it's done, turn it to the other side and cook on low flame for 30 secs. Repeat the same process with the remaining batter. Now bottle gourd/sorakaya dosa is ready, serve hot with chutney or pickle.
