Chole Buttermilk Kadhi Recipe/Chickpeas in Yogurt Gravy/Senagala Majjiga Pulusu - Kadhi Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 cup Curd or 2 cups Buttermilk
- 1/4 cup Chickpeas
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 Green Chilli chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
- 11/2 sp Besan / Chickpeas Flour
- fistful fresh Coconut Pieces
- 1/2 sp Coriander Seeds
- 2 Green Chillies roughly chopped
- 2"inches Ginger
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 pinch Inguva
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- chopped Coriander Leaves
- Curry Leaves

Instructions
- Soak chickpeas overnight and boil them with little salt and water till they become soft and keep aside.
- Grind above paste ingredients to a smooth paste with enough water, take the buttermilk in a bowl add salt, ground paste and mix well.
- Heat oil in a sauce pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies, chopped onion and stir.
- Cook until the onions are tender add cooked chickpeas, turmeric powder and fry for 1 min, then add mixed buttermilk, red chilli powder and mix it well.
- Let it boil for some time, when done remove from the flame, transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Senagala majjiga pulusu/Chole Kadhi is ready to serve, serve hot with white rice.
