Plain Chapathi Recipe / Soft Roti / Indian Flatbread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Wheat Flour
  • 1/4 cup Milk or Curd
  • 2 sp Wheat flour for dusting
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 sp Oil
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Place wheat flour, salt, milk,1 sp oil into a bowl and mix together, add enough water and prepare a soft dough, leave it for 20 mins with cover.
  2. Knead well and divide the dough into small balls, flatten one ball of the dough with your hand, roll out the ball into a thin round with the help of a rolling pin.
  3. Heat a griddle, when it hot cook each chapathi on both sides with little oil, do the same with the remaining dough balls.
  4. When done remove from the flame and transfer it to a serving plate and serve with dal or curry or fresh curd.
