Masala Dal with Toor Dal / Toor Dal Fry / Masala Dal Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked Toor Dal
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 1/4 sp Cumin seeds
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Biriyani Leaf
  • Coriander leaves
  • Curry leaves
  • 2 sp Oil
  • For Paste :
  • 1" Ginger
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 sp grated fresh Coconut

Instructions

  1. Grind grated coconut, ginger, garlic into a paste and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, biriyani leaf and fry, add chopped garlic and fry for a min.
  3. Now add chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and fry, once done add ground paste, tomato pieces and stir, cover and cook on low flame.
  4. Cook them till they get soft and mushy, then add cooked dal, salt, turmeric powder and mix well, continue to cook for a couple of mins.
  5. Turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl, finally garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. Now masala dal/toor dal masala is ready, serve with chapati, roti or pulka.
