Masala Dal with Toor Dal / Toor Dal Fry / Masala Dal Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked Toor Dal
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 1/4 sp Cumin seeds
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 Biriyani Leaf
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- 2 sp Oil
- 1" Ginger
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 2 sp grated fresh Coconut
For Paste :
Instructions
- Grind grated coconut, ginger, garlic into a paste and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, biriyani leaf and fry, add chopped garlic and fry for a min.
- Now add chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and fry, once done add ground paste, tomato pieces and stir, cover and cook on low flame.
- Cook them till they get soft and mushy, then add cooked dal, salt, turmeric powder and mix well, continue to cook for a couple of mins.
- Turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl, finally garnish with coriander leaves.
- Now masala dal/toor dal masala is ready, serve with chapati, roti or pulka.
