Kakarakaya Palli Vepudu / Bitter Gourd Peanut Fry / Karela Fry with Peanut
Ingredients
- 1/4 kg Kakarakayalu/Bitter Gourd
- 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 small cup Peanuts/Pallilu
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
- Curry leaves
- 4 sp Oil
Instructions
- Wash and cut kakarakayalu into small pieces and keep in a strainer, add turmeric powder, salt and mix well, let it leave for 15 min, then squeeze them and keep aside.
- Heat oil in khadai add squeezed bitter gourd pieces and fry on low flame, keep stirring in between, when it's 3/4 done add peanuts and fry.
- Now add red chilli powder, curry leaves and fry for a couple of mins, then turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl.
- Now Kakarakaya palli vepudu is ready to serve, serve with sambar and rasam.
