Gobi Masala Curry/Cauliflower Gravy Curry-Side dish for Rotis

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cauliflower Florets
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 pinch Hing/Inguva
  • enough Salt
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil
  • For Paste :
  • 1 Onion roughly chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 sp chopped Ginger
  • 2 Cloves/Lavangalu
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Elaichi Pod

Instructions

  1. Wash the cauliflower florets well and cook for 5 mins along with turmeric, little salt and then drain them & keep aside, meanwhile, combine paste ingredients & grind into a paste and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, hing and fry for a few secs then add the prepared paste to it and stir-fry for 2 mins on low flame.
  3. Now add cooked gobi, 1/2 cup of water, red chilli powder, enough salt and mix well, cover with a lid and cook for a couple of mins.
  4. Finally add chopped coriander leaves and mix, turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl, now gobi masala curry is ready to serve, serve hot with poori or chapati.
