Ingredients

  • 11/2 cup jonna Pindi/Sorghum Flour
  • 2 sp soaked Chana Dal
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • chopped Curry Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. Place above all ingredients in a bowl except oil and mix well, add 1 sp hot oil and mix well, then add enough warm water and make a dough.
  2. Knead well and make small balls and keep aside. Take a small dough ball and flatten into thin circle and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a khadai and carefully drop them into hot oil and fry, fry them until they turn golden brown in color and remove from the oil.
  4. Place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil, repeat the same process with rest of the dough.
  5. Now crispy crispy jonna pindi chekkalu are ready to eat, store them in an airtight container.
