Idli Recipe - Idli - South Indian Breakfast Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup Urad Dal
- 21/2 cups Idli Rava
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Wash and soak urad dal, uppudu rava in a separate bowls for 4 hours.
- Once soaked grind urad dal by adding enough water till it becomes smooth batter.
- Wash rava well and squeeze the rava, then add it to ground urad dal paste and mix well.
- Then leave the batter overnight, after that add salt to the batter and mix well.
- Grease the idli moulds with little oil, then fill it with the idli batter.
- Steam cook them for 10-12 minutes in idli cooker. After steaming wait for few secs.
- Then demoulds the idlis using with a wet spoon, now hot hot idlis are ready to serve.
- Serve hot with chutney and sambar.
