Mango Garlic Chutney / Mamidikaya Vellulli Pachadi / Green Mango Garlic Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 small Mango / Pachi Mamidikaya
  • 6 Green Chillies cut into middle
  • 4 or 5 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1/4 sp Methi Seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 sp Oil
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash mango and peel the skin and cut into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add urad dal, mustard, methi seeds and fry.
  3. Add chopped green chillies, garlic cloves & stir.
  4. Stir until the green chillies are soft, then remove from the pan.
  5. Grind fried popu mix along with salt, turmeric powder into a coarse paste.
  6. Add chopped mango pieces and grind slightly.
  7. Heat 1 sp oil in a small frying pan add popu and fry.
  8. When they splutter add it to ground chutney and mix well.
  9. Now mango vellulli pachadi is ready to serve.
