Dal Palak with Lemon Juice / Spinach Dal with Lemon Juice / Palak Nimmakaya Pappu

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Toor Dal
  • 2 cups chopped Spinach/Palakura
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tomato chopped
  • 2 sp Lemon Juice
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • 4 crushed garlic Cloves
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook toor dal, tomato, green chillies along with chopped palak/spinach. Allow it cool for some time, then remove the lid and mash the dal mixture.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry. Once done add curry leaves, crushed garlic cloves and stir. Then add palak dal mixture, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and stir well.
  3. Cook it for a couple of mins and then turn off the flame, now add lemon juice and mix well. Now tasty tasty palakura nimmakaya pappu is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice and rotis.
