Rice Rava Moong Dal Pongal / Rava Moong Dal Khichdi
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice Rava
- 1/2 cup Moong Dal
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 2 Green Chilies finely chopped
- 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- 5 cups Water
- 1 sp crushed Black Pepper
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- few Cashews
- 1 pinch Inguva
- Curry Leaves
- 4 sp Ghee+Oil

Instructions
- Clean, wash moong dal well, add 2 cups of water and pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
- Once done turn off the flame and allow it cool for a couple of minutes.
- After that remove the lid and mash the cooked dal.
- Add turmeric powder, salt, 3 cups of water and let it boil.
- Once the water starts boiling add the rice rava and stir well.
- Cover and cook on low flame for 5- 6 mins, until rice rava is well cooked.
- Heat ghee+oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry.
- When done add fried popu to cooked pongal and mix well.
- Now rava pongali is ready to serve, serve hot with chutney.
