Spinach Yellow Cucumber Dal Recipe / Palakura Dosakaya Pappu / Palak Cucumber Dal
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Toor Dal
- 1 cup chopped Palakura/Spinach
- 1 cup chopped Yellow Cucumber/ Dosakaya Mukkalu
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 2 sp Tamarind Pulp
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- 1 pinch Inguva/Hing
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash and pressure cook toor dal, spinach, cucumber, tomato, green chillies and onion. Once done turn off the flame and allow it to cool, once cooled remove the lid and mash the cooked dal mixture. Then add in tamarind pulp.
- Heat oil in a kadai add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves and fry for a while, then add palak dal mixture, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
- Mix well and continue to cook for a couple of mins and then turn off the flame. Now palak dosakaya pappu is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
