Vermicelli Sweet Potato Pudding / Semiya Chilakada Dumpa Payasam-Fasting Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Semiya/Vermicelli
- 1 small Sweet Potato/Chilakada Dumpa
- 1 small cup Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 pinch Elaichi Powder
- few Dry Fruits
- 2 sp Ghee
Instructions
- Wash sweet potato/chilakada dumpa, peel and chop into small pieces and keep aside. Heat ghee in a bowl add dry fruits and stir-fry till light brown, then remove from the bowl and set aside.
- Add vermicelli to the same bowl and fry till done, then add in boiled water and cook for 1 min. Now add chopped sweet potato and cook on low flame, once the vermicelli, sweet potato become soft, then add sugar, elaichi powder & cook for 2 mins.
- Add in milk and mix well, let it cook for a couple of mins on low flame and turn off the heat. Transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with roasted dry fruits, now upvas/fasting recipe semiya nd sweet potato payasam is ready.
