Alu Double Beans Gravy Curry/Double Beans Potato Gravy
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cooked Aloo pieces
- 1/2 cup Double Beans
- 2 Onions chopped
- 2 Tomatoes chopped
- 1 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 sp Coriander Powder
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 sp Garam Masala Powder
- 1/2 sp Sugar
- Salt to taste
- 3 sp Oil
- Coriander Leaves
Instructions
- Wash and soak double beans for 8 hours or over night.
- Pressure cook the beans for 5 to 6 whistles and keep aside.
- Open cooker when it has cooled down and strain away the water.
- Keep away the stock/water for curry, grind chopped onion, tomatoes into a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a khadai add cumin seeds and fry, then add ginger garlic paste and stir.
- Now add ground onion tomato paste and stir, fry until the raw smell goes.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, sugar and mix well.
- Add cooked double beans, potato pieces, red chilli, garam masala powders and mix well.
- Add stock or 1/2 cup of water to it, let it cook for a couple of mins.
- Once done add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
- Aloo double beans gravy curry is ready, serve with roti or puris.
