Idly Poha Bhurji / Idly Poha Upma / Idly Aval Bath

Ingredients

  • 4 Idlis
  • 1/2 cup Thick Poha
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 2 sp grated Carrot
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak poha in water for 2 mins or until they are soft, then drain them completely and keep aside
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and let them splutter, then add onion, green chillies, grated carrot, curry leaves and stir.
  3. Add turmeric powder, salt and fry till the onions become light brown then add drained poha and mix well, cover and cook on low heat for 1 min.
  4. After that add crumble idlys and mix well, let it cook for 1-2 mins and turn off the flame.
  5. Now Idly poha bhurji is ready and transfer into a bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
