Achari Poha Recipe/Mango Pickled Poha/Flattened Rice with Mango Pickle

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Thick Poha/Beaten Rice/Atukulu
  • 2 sp Mango Pickle
  • For Powder :
  • fistful Roasted Gram/Roasted Bengal Gram
  • 1 pinch Cumin Seeds
  • 1 sp Dry Coconut Pieces
  • little Salt
  • For Popu :
  • 1/4 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash well and soak poha for 2 mins and then squeeze water from it and keep in a mixing bowl.
  2. Meanwhile, combine above all powder ingredients and grind into a fine powder and keep aside.
  3. Add mango pickle, ground roasted gram flour mixture to squeezed poha and mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves and stir for 10 secs then turn off the flame.
  5. Then add fried popu to poha mixture and mix it well, now simple and easy breakfast mango pickled poha is ready, serve with fresh yogurt/curd.
