Panasa Pottu Aava Petti Kura/Raw Jackfruit Curry with Mustard Powder
Ingredients
- 2 cups Panasa Pottu / finely chopped Raw Jackfruit
- 4 Green Chillies chopped lengthwise
- 1/2 lime sized Tamarind
- 1/4 sp Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Mustard Powder
- 2 sp grated Jaggery
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 2 Red Chillies
- Curry Leaves
- 3 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash and cook panasa pottu in a pan with enough salt & turmeric powder, cook the panasa pottu/raw jackfruit until soft, once cooked remove from fire and strain it.
- Meanwhile, wash and soak tamarind in 1/4 cup of water for 15 mins and keep aside, then squeeze the pulp between your fingers and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies and fry for 30 secs.
- Add tamarind extract mix well and let it boil, then add in little salt, jaggery and cook till it thickens, now add cooked panasa pottu and mix well.
- Let it cook until all moisture is absorbed, then add mustard powder and mix it well, turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl.
- Aava pettina panasa pottu kura/raw jackfruit curry with mustard powder is ready to serve, serve hot with steamed white rice.
