Aloo Poha / Beaten Rice With Potato

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Beaten Rice/Thick Poha
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped Lengthwise
  • 1 Potato
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Lemon Juice
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli Crocked
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and chop aloo into small cubes and keep aside.
  2. Boil them with water on a stove stop or in a microwave until soft.
  3. Wash poha and drain well, keep aside for 10 mins.
  4. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add green chillies, curry leaves and fry for awhile.
  5. Now add chopped onion and cook until the onions are tender.
  6. Add boiled potato, turmeric powder, salt and fry for a min.
  7. Then add soaked poha and mix well, continue to cook for a couple of mins on low flame with a cover.
  8. After that turn off the flame and add lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  9. Now potato poha/aloo poha is ready, Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
