Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped Amaranth Leaves/Thotakura
- 1/4 cup Raw Mango Pieces
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
For Popu :
- 1/2 sp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 sp Chana Dal
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- 1 pinch Hing
- 2 sp oil
Instructions
In a small cooker add above stew ingredients and pressure cook for 3 whistles with one cup of water. Once done turn off the flame and allow it cool down completely. When done remove the lid and mash it well, if the curry is liquid add in 1 sp rice flour mix with little water and cook for 2 mins on low flame. Heat oil in a small frying pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add it to cooked amaranth leaves stew and mix well. Now thotakura mamidikaya pulusu is ready to serve, transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice and roti.
