Raw Banana Fry / Aratikaya Vepudu / Plantain Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 no Aratikaya/Raw Banana
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and cut aratikaya into small pieces and keep in a strainer.
  2. Add turmeric powder, salt to raw banana pieces and mix well.
  3. Keep aside for 15 minutes and then squeeze the pieces and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in khadai, when hot add squeezed pieces and fry on low flame.
  5. Keep stirring in between, when the fry is almost done and add red chilli powder, curry leaves and fry for a while.
  6. When done turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl. Now aratikaya vepudu/raw banana fry is ready to serve, serve with sambar or rasam.
