Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Besan/Gram Flour
  • 1/4 cup Wheat Flour/Godhuma Pindi
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Ghee
  • 2 Ealichi Pods
  • 2 sp Milk (optional)
  • few chopped Dry Fruits

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a khadai, when hot add the besan, wheat flour and fry- stirring continuously on low heat till it gives good aroma & turns light brown color. Then remove from the pan to a mixing bowl and allow it cool slightly.
  2. Grind sugar into a fine powder along with elaichi pods, then add in ground sugar, chopped dry fruits and mix thoroughly with hand, if needed add 2 sp milk and mix everything well.
  3. Take some amount of the besan wheat mixture and make into small lemon sized balls and set aside to cool, now besan wheat laddus are ready to offer as naivedyam to Varalakshmi Vratham.
