Laddu / Boondi Laddu Recipe - how to make Boondi Laddu
Ingredients
- 2 cups Besan/Sanaga Pindi/Gram Flour
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 pinch Pacha karpooram
- 1/2 sp Elaichi Powder
- few Cashew Nuts
- Oil for deep fry
Instructions
- In a bowl add bengal gram flour/besan and make a batter with enough water like bajji batter without lumps and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a wide pan and hold boondi ladle with small rounds on top with one hand, with the other pour 1 small cup of the batter all over the holes.
- Tap it gently with a spoon, so that small balls of the batter fall into the oil, don't fry them crispy, take them out when they are soft.
- Repeat the same process with the remaining batter and keep aside.
- Boil sugar and water in a heavy bottomed pan and make syrup like 'undapakam'.
- Add pacha karpooram, elaichi powder and fried boondi to the syrup and mix very well.
- Let it cool for some time then mix well with hand and make round balls with fried cashew nuts.
- Boondi laddu are ready to eat and allow them to dry, after that store them in an airtight container.
