Bottle Gourd Dal with Yellow Moong Dal / Sorakaya Pesara Pappu / Lauki ka Dal with Moong Dal
Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped Bottle Gourd Pieces
- 1 small cup Yellow Moong Dal
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- 1 Green Chilli chopped
- Curry Leaves
- 1 pinch Hingu
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash the moong dal well and cook on stove top, add in chopped bottle gourd, green chilli pieces and turmeric powder.
- Cook continuously on low flame until the dal and bottle gourd pieces are completely cook, if needed add water. Now add enough salt and mix well.
- Heat oil in a small frying pan add popu ingredients and fry, once it done add curry leaves, chopped green chilli and fry for a while. Then add it to cooked dal mixture and mix well.
- Now sorakaya pesara pappu is ready, transfer into a serving bowl and serve. Serve with steamed white rice or rotis.
