Carrot Onion Curry / Carrot Ullipaya Kura / Carrot Onion Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Carrot
  • 1 big Onion chopped finely
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Curry Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • 1 sp Oil
  • few Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook chopped carrot with enough salt and turmeric powder, once done turn off the flame and allow it to cool. After that drain them. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, when done add chopped onion, curry leaves and stir-fry until the onions are soft.
  2. Add in cooked carrot and stir-fry for 2 mins on low-medium flame, then add curry powder and mix well and cook for a while. Now carrot onion fry curry is ready, turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice or roti.
