Chilakada Dumpa Menthi Pulusu / Sweet Potato Stew With Methi Flavour
Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped Sweet Potato Pieces
- 2 Green Chillies slit lengthwise
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 1/2 Lime Sized Tamarind
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 sp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 sp Methi Powder
- 1 sp Rice Flour
- 2 sp grated Jaggery
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 sp Methi Seeds
- 1 pinch Hing/Inguva
- chopped Coriander Leaves
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash and soak tamarind in 1 cup of water for 10 min and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add green chillies, curry leaves and stir.
- Add chilakada dumpa pieces & stir for 1 min then add 2 cups of tamarind extract, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and stir.
- Now add chopped tomato and stir-cook it for 5 mins, then add methi powder, coriander powder and mix well. Take little water and mix rice flour and add in cooked chilakada dumpa stew and mix well, let it cook for a couple of mins then turn off the flame.
- Now chilakada dumpa menthi pulusu is ready, lastly add coriander leaves & transfer into a serving bowl and serve along with rice and dal.
