Coconut Chana Dal Curry / Kobbari Senaga Pappu Kura / Chana Dal Porial
Ingredients
- 1 cup grated Fresh Coconut
- 1/8 cup Chana Dal
- 4 Green Chillies chopped lengthwise
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 sp Urad Dal
- 2 Red Chillies crocked
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Wash and soak chana dal for 20 mins and cook them on stove top till 3/4 done, once done strain them and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, green chillies and fry for 30 secs.
- Then add grated coconut, turmeric powder and mix well, sprinkle a little water and stir well, cover and cook on low flame for a couple of mins. Then add cooked chana dal, salt and mix it well, cook on low flame with a lid for a min, stir occasionally to avoid burning.
- After that turn off the heat and transfer into a serving bowl, now coconut chana dal curry is ready to serve, serve hot with rice.
