Cracked Wheat Halwa / Godhuma Rava Halwa

  • 1 cup Cracked Wheat Rava
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 pinch Elaichi powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped Cashew Nuts
  • 5 tbsp Ghee


  1. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a heavy bottomed pan add cashew nuts & fry till light brown, remove from the pan and keep aside.
  2. Add wheat rava to same pan and fry till good aroma, then add 4 cups of boiling water and stir-cook until it becomes soft.
  3. Then add sugar, elaichi powder & mix, add remaining ghee & stir, continue to cook on low flame for 8-10 mins.
  4. When done turn of the heat and pour on a greased plate, garnish with fried cashew nuts.
  5. Allow it cool for 10 mins and cut into desired shape, godhuma rava halwa is ready to serve.
