Gobi Moong Dal Fry / Cauliflower Pesara Curry / Cauliflower Moong Dal Sabji

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Cauliflower Florets
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped lengthwise
  • 2 sp Moong Dal
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 sp fresh Grated Coconut
  • 3 Garlic Cloves chopped (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the cauliflower into small florets, wash well and soak them in salt water(little water)for 5 mins, after that chop into small pieces. Wash and soak moong dal for 5 mins and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry. Once done add chopped green chillies, garlic, curry leaves and fry for 30 secs.Then add chopped cauliflower, soaked moong dal, turmeric powder and mix well, sprinkle some water and stir, cover a lid and cook on medium flame for 5 min.
  3. Then add salt stir well and cook till the cauliflower is soft. Now add coconut, red chilli powder and mix everything well, continue cooking on low flame for a couple of mins till dry. When done remove from the flame and transfer into a serving bowl and serve rice or roti.
