Godhuma Rava Pappu Pongali / Cracked Wheat Ven Pongal / Wheat Suji Khichdi
Ingredients
- 1 cup Cracked Wheat/Godhuma Rava
- 1/4 cup Moong Dal
- 1 sp Pepper powder
- few Whole Pepper Corn
- 1/2 sp Cumin seeds
- few Cashew Nuts
- 1 pinch Hing
- Salt to taste
- few Curry leaves
- 3 sp Oil/Ghee
Instructions
- Combine godhuma rava, moong dal, wash well and pressure cook with 4 cups of water, when done turn off the heat and allow it cool. Once cooled remove the lid add enough salt and mix well.
- Heat oil in a pan add pepper powder, pepper corn, cumin seeds, cashew nuts, hing and fry. Once done curry leaves and fry for a while on low flame, then pour the fried mixture over the wheat rava pongal and mix until well combined.
- Now cracked wheat ven pongal is ready to serve, serve hot with chutney or chutney powder along with ghee.
