Soya and Indian Broad Beans Coconut Fry Curry / Soya Chikkudu Kobbari Kura

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Chikkudukayalu/Indian Broad Beans
  • 2 tbsp Soya Granules
  • 2 sp fresh grated Coconut
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and pressure cook chikkudukayalu/broad beans along with salt and turmeric powder, meanwhile wash and soak soya granules in hot water for 15 mins and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, cooked broad beans/chikkudukayalu and stir-fry for 1 min.
  3. Now add squeezed soya granules and stir, then add grated coconut, red chilli powder and mix well, cover and cook for a couple of mins.
  4. After that turn of the flame and transfer into a serving bowl, soya chikkudukaya curry is ready to serve, serve hot with rice or roti.
