Jonna Rava Upma/Jowar Suji Upma/Sorghum Suji Upma - Upma Varieties
Ingredients
- 1 cup Jonna Rava/Jowar Rava/Sorghum Suji
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 Green Chilli chopped
- 1 sp chopped Ginger
- 2 cups Water
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 sp Chana Dal
- 1/2 sp Urad Dal
- 1 Red Chilli crocked
- few Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Grind White sorghum into a coarse powder like suji and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add chopped green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and fry for 30 secs.
- Then add chopped onion and stir-fry until the onions are soft then pour water add salt and allow it to a boil.
- Once the water start to boiling pour jowar rava and mix it well, cover with a lid and keep cooking on low flame till the jonna rava is completely cooked.
- Then turn off the flame and let it leave for a couple of mins, now jonna upma is ready to serve, serve with chutney powder or pickle.
