Long Green Beans Coconut Fry / Black Eyed Peas Coconut Poriyal / Alasandakayalu Kobbari Kura

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped Long Green Beans/Alasandakaya Mukkalu
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • fistful Fresh Coconut Pieces
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash the long beans, trim the edges and chop into small pieces and keep aside. Add salt, turmeric powder to chopped long beans and pressure cook with little water. When done remove the lid and drain them.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, cooked long beans and stir-cook for a couple of mins. In the meantime, grind coconut pieces, green chillies into a coarse paste. Then add in ground coconut mixture and mix everything well. Fry for a min on low flame, after that turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice or roti.
