Ingredients

  • 1 small cup All purpose flour / Maida
  • 1/4 small cup Rice Flour
  • 2 Green Chillies finely chopped
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • enough Butter Milk
  • 1 pinch Cooking Soda
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. Mix together all the above ingredients (expect oil) then add enough butter milk to make a thick batter.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and take a tablespoon of the batter and gently drop in the hot oil and allow to cook.
  3. Fry them till they turn golden brown and remove from the hot oil and place them onto a tissue paper.
  4. continue making punugulu with the remaining batter and serve hot with coconut chutney.
