Mamidikaya Pachi Pulusu / Raw Mango Stew / Sweet and Sour Green Mango Stew

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Raw Mango Pieces
  • 1 big Onion chopped finely
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 2 sp grated Jaggery
  • 11/2 cup Water
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Red Chilli Crocked
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Curry Leaves
  • 1 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Place chopped raw mango pieces in a bowl and cook with enough water and mash it well.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves and fry for a while, then add in cooked, mashed raw mango and mix well. Turn off the flame and keep aside.
  3. Take a bowl with one cup of water and add chopped onion, green chilli pieces, turmeric powder, salt, jaggery, chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Then add in mango mixture and mix very well.
  4. Now Mamidikaya pachi pulusu is ready to serve, serve with hot rice.
