Bottle Gourd and Raw Mango Dal Recipe / Sorakaya Mamidikaya Pappu - no Onion no Garlic
Ingredients
- 1 small cup Toor Dal
- 2 cups Bottle Gourd Pieces
- 1/4 cup Raw Mango Pieces
- 2 Green Chillies chopped
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 sp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Red Chilli Crocked
- 1 pinch Hingu
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sp Oil

Instructions
- Combine bottle gourd, mango, green chillie pieces, toor dal and pressure cook for 4 whistles. Allow it cool, once cooled remove the lid and mash well.
- Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add curry leaves, cooked dal mixture and stir well. Now add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
- Continue to cook for a couple of mins, then turn off the flame. Now sorakaya mamidikaya pappu is ready and serve, serve hot with rice and rotis.
