Masala Curry Powder Recipe / Masala Kura Podi
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Chana Dal
- 1/2 cup Urad Dal
- 2 sp Coriander Seeds
- 2 sp grated Coconut
- 5 Red Chillies
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 4 Cardamom
- 5 Cloves
- 2 tsp Oil
Instructions
- Heat 1 sp oil in a frying pan add chana dal, urad dal, coriander seeds and fry them for 5 mins.
- Then add cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and fry them on low flame until they turn golden brown in color, transfer them onto a plate.
- Add remaining oil to the same pan add red chillies and fry, now add grated coconut and stir-fry for 30 secs and turn off the flame.
- Let it cool for couple of mins then grind them to a coarse powder, masala curry powder is ready, store in an airtight container.
