Moong Dal Coconut Chutney / Pesara Pappu Kobbari Pachadi

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Moong Dal
  • 1/2 cup grated Coconut / Pachi Kobbari
  • 2 inches Tamarind flake
  • 4 Dry Red Chillies
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add moong dal, red chillies and fry.
  2. Fry on medium flame until they turn golden brown in color.
  3. Turn off the flame and transfer them to a plate & allow them to cool.
  4. Grind fried moong dal, salt, cumin seeds, tamarind to a coarse paste with adding enough water.
  5. Add grated coconut, garlic flakes and grind it again nicely.
  6. Now moong dal coconut chutney is ready to serve, serve with rice or rotis.
