Moong Dal Coconut Kheer/Pesara Pappu Kobbari Payasam–Payasam recipes
Ingredients
- 4 sp Moong Dal/Pesara Pappu
- 3 sp grated Fresh Coconut
- 1 small cup Jaggery
- 2 Elaichi Pods
- few chopped Dry Fruits
Instructions
- Wash, soak moong dal for 5 mins and then cook on stove top for 5 mins, then add jaggery and cook on medium heat until the Jaggery completely dissolves, meantime, grind grated coconut + elaichi pods into a paste with little water or milk.
- Add in ground coconut paste and mix well, when the kheer becomes slightly thick, then add a little milk, let it cook for 1 or 2 minutes, remove from the heat & transfer into a serving bowl. Now moong dal coconut kheer is ready, allow it to cool, pour the kheer into serving bowls and decorate with chopped nuts & serve, moong dal coconut kheer can be served hot or cold.
