Ingredients
- 1 Munakkaya/Drumstick
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 Green Chillies Chopped
- 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
- Coriander Leaves
- Curry Leaves
- 1 Tomato chopped
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 sp Oil
- Salt to taste
For Paste :
- 1/2 sp Sesame Seeds
- 1 sp Peanuts/Pallilu
- 2 Elaichi pods
- 1/2″ Dalchini/Cinnamon
3 Cloves/Lavangalu
Instructions
- Wash and cut munakkaya into small pieces, after that cook them with little salt and keep aside.
- Fry sesame seeds, peanuts, clove, elaichi and dalchini slightly with out oil remove from flame, allow it cool, once cooled grind them into smooth paste along with chopped tomato.
- Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds and fry, next add chopped onion, green chilli pieces, curry leaves and fry until the onions turns soft.
- Then add ginger garlic paste and stir well, cook it on low flame till the raw smell goes out. Add in ground paste, cooked munakkaya mukkalu and mix well.
- Add milk, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and stir well, continue to cook on low flame for a couple of mins.
- Lastly add chopped coriander leaves and mix well, now spicy munakkaya kurma is ready. Turn off the flame and transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice and rotis.
