Onion Curd Rice Recipe/Fried Onion Curd Rice/Yogurt Rice with Onion

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 cup Fresh Curd/yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 small Onion chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 sp Urad Dal
  • 1/2 sp Chana Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • chopped Coriander Leaves
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 2 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan add popu ingredients and fry, once done add chopped onion, green chillie, curry leaves and stir.
  2. Fry the onions for 2-3 mins or until soft then remove from heat and allow it to cool.
  3. Meanwhile, take the boiled and cooled rice in a bowl and add curd, milk, salt and mix well.
  4. Then add fried onion mixture, chopped coriander leaves and mix everything well and cover with a lid and set aside for 5 mins.
  5. Now onion curd rice/fried onion curd rice is ready, transfer into a serving plate and serve with any pickle.
