Poha Rice Bath Recipe / Aval and Left Over Rice Bath

Ingredients

  • 11/2 cup cooked Rice
  • 1/2 cup Poha/Atukulu
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 sp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 sp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • fistful Peanuts
  • For Popu :
  • 1/2 sp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 sp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Red Chillies crocked
  • Curry Leaves
  • 3 sp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the beaten rice for 5 mins, then squeeze out the water and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan add peanuts and fry until light brown, then remove from the pan and keep aside.
  2. Add popu ingredients to the same pan and fry, next add green chillies, curry leaves and stir. Add chopped onion, turmeric powder, little salt and fry.
  3. Cook the onions until translucent add ginger garlic paste and stir-fry until the raw smell goes.
  4. Add in squeezed poha and stir-fry for 2 mins on low flame, next add cooked rice.
  5. Then add salt, red chilli powder and mix very well, finally add fried peanuts and mix well. Let it cook for 2 mins on low flame. Now poha popu annam is ready transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
